Sleek Contour palette in 'Light' review

I will admit it, this is my first contouring palette. I have never really found the need to contour my cheek bones at all. I have quite prominent ones already and due to my pale complexion the thought of applying bronzer to my face always used to terrify me. Then I decided to take the plunge!

It took me a whole to find a bronzer that didn't appear orange on application and one that wasn't over the £10 mark. I didn't want to waste too much money on something that I had never really tried before. Then I came across the Sleek range which is available online as well as in most Superdrug stores. Their packaging is lovely and very much reminds me of the Nars packaging. All of their products look and feel like they should be a lot more expensive than they are, which I love (of course!) In this particular palette, for £9.99 you have a bronzer, a highlighter and a blush. There is also another set available which has the bronzer and highlighter for £6.49 but I loved the look of the blush so decided to pay the bit extra.

The bronzer (in the light palette, there is also a dark version available) is a lovely calm brown, not orangey at all.  Perfect if you have a pale complexion like I do. The highlighter is a lovely shimmery peachy white which highlights fantastically and is very soft as well, no match for the 'Rose' highlighter from Dior but nearly a second favourite! But the best is without a doubt the blush, which I didn't even buy it for. It's a peachy pink whith gold shimmers which is nearly a dupe for the Nars Super Orgasm.

Overall I would say this is without a doubt the best £10 I have spent on makeup yet. Three very handy items all in one and fantastic quality too. If you are able to get to a Superdrug and are wanting to try a new bronzer/highlighter/blush I would definitely pick this up!

  2. I really want to buy this now! I'm also wary of bronzer like yourself and have been using a pressed powder for darker skin tones instead of bronzer to contour. However this shade looks very inoffensive and the blusher looks lovely! Thanks for the post,
